The Southern Terminus monument is located on the border of California and Baja California, Mexico approximately 1.5 miles south of the town of Campo, California. It marks the southernmost point of the Pacific Crest Trail.

The current monument was installed in January 2016.

Starting or ending a hike

The Southern Terminus monument is typically where NOBO hikers start a thru-hike and where SOBO hikers end a thru-hike. Hikers can reach the monument from Campo by way of a 1.5 mile road-walk. It may also be possible to hitchhike this short distance, or trail angels may be able to provide rides to or from the monument.
