Idyllwild, California is a town located close to mile 180 of the Pacific Crest Trail. It is a full service town with everything a hiker needs.

Access from the Trail
The PCT provides access to Idyllwild from several side trails:
- Mile 178: South Ridge Trail. Approximately a 6 mile hike into town.
- Mile 179.4: Saddle Junction/Devil's Slide Trail. Approximately a 6 mile hike into town.
- Mile 183.5: Deer Springs Trail. Approximately a 4 mile hike into town.
Food and Drink
Red Kettle is a popular diner offering breakfast, burgers, sandwiches and more.
Higher Grounds Coffee Shop offers a fantastic selection of coffees and baked goods.
The Town Baker is a cool little coffee shop and bakery which also offers free WiFi.

Groceries
Fairway Market and Idyllwild Village Market are both full services grocery stores, from which hikers can do a full resupply.
Gear Shops
Being located so close to Mt San Jacinto, Idyllwild has a number of good stores where hikers can buy or replace gear.
