Campo, California is a small town located near the southern terminus of the Pacific Crest Trail. It is approximately 50 miles east of San Diego, California.

Campo is the town nearest the PCT southern terminus. The center of Campo is approximately 1.4 miles north from the southern terminus monument.

    • Hikers may be allowed to camp behind the Stone Store Museum, located just north across the street from the Green Store. Ask at the Green Store before setting up your tent.

Buses

Campo is served 3 times a day (not weekends) by bus route 894, from El Cajon Transit Center in eastern San Diego. San Diego Metropolitan Transit Systems provides more information on times and fares (PDF, 3.2MB).

The El Cajon stop on the San Diego Trolley's Orange Line provides access to El Cajon Transit Center. From downtown San Diego, the journey takes approximately 40 minutes.
